Mr. Harper to be hunK on the walls

per responded with a fitting talk, ex
pressing appreciation of his fellow
members. ' .
Mr. Harper became a member of
the 1. O. O. V. lodge at West Milton,
O., In 1869. He came to David City
In 1ST4 and joined Harmony lodge.
No. "J., In 18T5. He has been an Odd
Fellow more than 50 years. He. 1ms
been treasurer of the local lodge for
33 years. He was elected grand war
den In October, 1021, and upon the
death of R. M. Cllllan In February,
took his place as deputy grand mas
ter. At the late seslpn of the grand
lodge he was elected grand master.
He is also an active member of the
Masonic lodge. Ha has served two
terms as treasurer of Butler county
and was at one time mayor of David
City.
