game from station WAAW. Receive
ing sets at the Sportsman cigar store,
Ernie Holmes' billiard parlors, the
Radio shop and the McGraw Electric
company caught the broadcasting,

radio was several minutes ohead of
ticker service at downtown stations

The proposed major leaguu base
hall association has already admitted
to membership 148 major league play
ers, according to Ray J. Cannon,
Milwaukee lawyer, who has been re
tained by a number of major league
ball players to perfect the organiza
tion. A few days ago membership pledge
cards were sent to the majority of
the major league ball players and to
date 14S have signed to become mem
bers of the association, according to
Cannon.
