Mr. W, Strohbehn Golf Champion. Wednesday morning Mr. Will Strohbehn won the championship in golf for women in the final at the Country club. Mr. Strohbehn de feated Mr. B. O. Bruington, who has had the championship for the past three years. Both women play an excellent game and on Wednesday their score was 117 for Mrs. Stroh behn and 118 for Mri. Bruington, I tin in 18 holes. Mrs. Strohbehn i new player, liavinff only taken up the game about a year ago. Mrs. Bruington was runner-up and received a prize. In the consolation flight Mrs. John Davis defeated Mrs. Floyd Hen dricks and Miss Marion Turner won fiom Mrs. Frank Garret byidcfault. In the finals Miss Turner won and Mrs. Davis was runner-up. In class A flight Mrs. Al Fane defeated Mrs. Charle Duquette. Oh Wednesday of each week the women golfers will play and a picnic lunch will be a feature. Bridge Luncheon Miss Leontine Louie entertained informally Tuesday at bridge lunch eon for 12 guests. Miss Patricia Tinley had high score. On Saturday Mise Louie gave a 1 c 'clock luncheon for 16 guests. A basket of garden flower formed an attractive centerpiece. One O'Clock Luncheon. Miss Caroline Theinhart was hos tess at a lovely luncheon Saturday for Miss Katherine Capcll, who leaves Wednesday for California, where she enters Leland Stanford university. Miss Anna Ross, who conducted a group of Iowa. Nebraska and Okla homa ladies and gentlemen through Europe this summer, landed with her party in Montreal. Saturday, Septem ber 2, and went immediately to or cester, Mass., to visit friends. She arrived in Councal Bluffs last Friday and wa preceded by Mrs. F. Thi year a large number of the younger set are attending 'out-of-town school. Miss Marjorie Anni left Wednes day to retume her studies at Ferry Hall. Misnes Helena Mitchell, Elizabeth Bruington and Katherine McMillm left Tuesday evening, where they will re-enter De Cauwr university, Green- castle, ind.
