Muny Directors
Act on Protests
Muny director in ' meeting last
night to thresh out the alleged
Black Sox scandal in Omaha amateur
ranks, which failed to materialize,
were kept buly until a late hour
considering protests.
As a result of no tangible testi
mony to the effect that the Naplc
Kinney game was "fixed," director
ordered the confab to stand a
played, thus putting the Naples into
tie witli the bocia bettlement for
the Southern league muslin.
The Naples Christ Child Kame,
.protested by the Banker on the
grounds that the Child used Garvey,
a suspended player, against the rul
ing of the amateur association, Was
awarded to the Naples bank.
The Protest of the Knishts of Co
lurribus Columbia over the- defeat
administered them by the Modern
Woodmen of America in the first
game of a double bill on the grounds
that the Woodmen used ineligible
players, was tablet for further con
sideration. Teams were ordered to
play ttte final game Sunday at Fort
Omaha, and, should the Caseys win,
their protest .will be unnecessary.
The protest of the McKenny Den
tists against their defeat by the
Knights of Columbus' Columbias in
the American league was overruled
by the directors.
