proipectt, ideal weather (or growing
crop, improvement in oatf in north
ern tectiont, severe hail lottet, wheat
thrcahing delayed and the beginning
of the harvest of the early commercial
potato crop arc the leading feature!
of the mid-month crop report of the
Nebraska Department of Agricul
ture and the bureau oi agricultural
economic.
The Nebraska corn crop it in ex
cellent condition throughout the Hate
except in the storm-damaged areas

some of the corn is damaged beyond
recovery. The previous drouth did
not injure the corn and the present
moisture supply it adequate to meet
the increasing demands of the rapidly
growing crop.
The threshing of winter wheat has
been delayed by the rains and tome

pected. Spring wheat hat improved
somewhat in northern sections.
The weather has been highly favor
able for the filling of oata during the
last two weeks and an improvement
is noted in northern sections. The
last estimate of production is very
low. '
Potatoes improved under the highly
favorable weather of the past two
weeks. The acreage in the early com
mercial aectiont it nearly doubled and
the areas of commercial production
extended into south central counties.
