SARAH SMITH LAID AT REST SATURDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Smith, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hattie L. Em erton, on Thursday, May 17th, at the age of 55 years, 1 month and 13 days, were conducted from the Wagoner church bv Elder Noah Wagoner, on Saturday afternoon and interment was made in the Wagoner cemetery. Sarah Ann Tucker, daughter of Auldon Tucker and Margin cte Brown, was born in Green county, Tennessee, on April 4, 1868. She was united in marriage to Rufus B. Smith and to this union were born ten children, six sons and four daughters, eight of whom survive her. Nora Maud, an infant and Mary D. d'ed some years ago. The surviving children are: Lllbcrn C. of Beatrice, Walter A. and Rnmson W. of Inavale, Mrs. Hattie L. Emcrton, Dallas T. and Ernest P. of P.cd Cloud, Bruce F. of Lebanon, Kan sas and Mrs. Lucy L. Smith of Guide Ito-k. Her husband, Rufus 15. Smith, died in 1011, at Filley, this stntc. Mrs. Smith united with tho church of the Brethren some years ago and was identifed as a member of that body. He came to America with father, sister and brothers in 1800 and lived in II inois for 10 years, then nnveel to Platte county in 1870. He was married to Sophia Peterson in IS82 and settled on a homestead near Lindsay. In 100o he and his family moved to Webster county, wheic his remaining years ivcre .-peiit.
