Victories In the third match of tho
annual Uncle Dud telegraph trophy
.shoot yesterday were:
North Platto (212) bout Colorado
Springs (235).
Denver (2119) bent Pueblo (23fi).
Fort Collirn (235) beat Ked Cloud
(230)
Trinidad (211) beat Wray (200)
Louisville had open date.
Two perfect scores were registered.
August Sarcande; of Fort Collina
duplicated h's feat of a year ago by
breaking fifty without a miss. Kohr
cr of Colorado Springs also got an
honor mark. W. F. Floyd of Den
ver, who marked up r fifty one year
ago, did not get in the running yes
terday. Nortli Platte and Fort Collins now
arc tied for tho lead with three vic
tories and no defeats. In the race of
1922, nt this rung, Denver was tied
with Fort Coll'ns, neither having r.uf
fcrcd a defeat in three matches.
General High Scores.
Scores of unusual excellence weie
made yciterday. For instance, North
Platte, high with 212, were unable to
compete a year ago because of a so
veto .storm, but their total this year
was hotter than anv made on the
simo (Lie in 1922.
Don vet's 239 was one point hettc
than tl-e 238 of a year ago, even with
I loyd's perfect 50 score. Fort Col
lin's 238 vn,3 one point less than their
totrl in January last, when they
broke 239.
Colorado Springs, altho losing to
North Platte yesterday, made 235, a
agu'nst their 232 of last year that ac
counted for a win.
Pueblo, too, outshot by Denver, was
responsible for 233 breaks, while one
year ago all they could icturn was
227.
AH in all, the trigger experts are
going in high gear and from indica
tions to date, this year's grand total
and averages will be the best ever at
tained in the competition.

IX hundred miles of Catacombs or stone tombs were
3 hewn beneath the foundations of Rome. The early
Christians, poor and persecuted, cared more for the
Protection of their Dead than we do today. Yet, the ever
increasing use of the Norwalk Vault testifies to a revolt
against that sodden cistern the modern grave! Sealed
by handi the moulded granite of the Norwalk offers
eternal protection. The greatest tribute to the Dead:
