Harvey-Carpenter
A very pretty wedding occurred at
the home of Mrs. Mary Harvey north
east of Inavalc on Wednesday evening,
Aug., 2nd, when her youngest daugh
ter, Ruby Eleanor, was married to
Alvah E. Carpenter.
The bride Is a graduate of the 1918
class of the Red Cloud high school,
since which time feho has taught four
successful terms of school In Webster
county. The groom Is the oldest son
of Mrs. Ellen Carpenter.
Tho houso was decorated in green
and white. Mrs. Carpeuter, mother of
'the groom, presided at the piano, and
to tho beautiful strains of tho wedding
march, tho wedding procession entered
the parlor where Rev. Slek of River
ton, read the marriage ceremony. The
contracting parties were attended by
Nels Nelson and Miss Ruth Robertson.
The bride wore a beautiful dress of
white satin.
After the ceremony a luncheon of ice
cream and cake was served. Many
beautiful and useful gifts were pre
sented the happy couple.
After a short honeymoon they will
make their home on the Carpenter
farm northeast of Inavale.
