Report of S. R. Florancc read and

The mayor made the following ap
pointments of power house employees,
which woo approved by the Counc":
W A. Patten, first engineer, salarj

month; Bert Pcrry( third engineer,
salarj 70.00 per month.
The proposition for furnishing olcc-t'-ie
current for the village of Cowlcs
was laid on the table.
The Council insttuctcd the City
Clerk to notify the owners of vacant
lots to cut the weeds or the weeds
will bo cut by the city and expense
of same certified up to the property
as taxes.
The following applications for li
censes for hauling freight, etc., in the
city limits were granted: G. W.
Johnson, Monroe Meinte, J. G. Par
sons, Frank Peterson, Piatt & Frees,
Sam Mountford and Lew Simp?on.
Erickson and Wolfe were granted
license for hauling passengers.
