Minniek, having sustained a broken leg and arm and other injuries in an unavoidable auto mobile accident last Friday evening passed away about two hours later, de spite every effort of medical skill. The boy in company witli his cousin, Norman Sutton, the nine year old sou of Mr. and Mrs, Chas. Sutton, was coining up from the depot, walking on the pavement. A oar came up from behind them and to get out of the way tli'i boys started from the street, the Sutton lad going east while the Min niek boy turned to tho west. Just as thecal passed the boys, Isador John son, who was taking Hugh Lawson, an Interior decorator, down to the train approached in his Bulck roadster. As he turned out to meet the north bound car tho Minniek lad appeared from be hind it only about ten feot distant and immediately in front of Mr. Johnson's machine. He was not speeding, but to change the course of the machine or stop in so short a distance was im possible and the unfortunate accident resulted. Mr. Johnson immediately brought the injured lad to Dr. Martin's otllao where tho broken bones were set in place but ho was unable t5 survive the shock. The coroner's Inquest was held Sat urday afternoon and after investigat ing every detail tho jury returned a verdict of "an unavoidable accident with no criminal responsibility on the part of Mr. Johnson". Funeral services in charge of Rev. Marjorie Owens were held from the Mission Monday afternoon and inter ment made in the olty cemetery. Universal sympathy is extended the bereaved parents and Mr. Johnson wh has been frantic with grief since the accident.
