Ramey aftor an illness of a row weeks, departed from tue cares, sorrows and responsibilities of this life last Saturday, March 23th, at the ugo of 71 years, 11 months and 0 days. Sally Branson Bean was born April 10th, 1U50 In Frederlok county, Vir ginia. In the yoar 1871 she was united in marriage to Oscar E. Ramey. Fivo years later they came to Webster coun ty, Nebraska locating in Cathcrton product. In 1805 they moved to tho present home northwest of this city where she resided nntll the time of her death. To this union were born six children, Elma, James, Lillian, Franc, Otterbein, and Baby. Georgo is an adopted sou wbo was taken into tho family whon but three years of age. Mrs. Ramey was an active chnrch worker having, joined the Luthern church in her early life and later be came identified with the activities of tho Brctberen church. Aftor moving to their present location she joined the Congregational church and was an active member at tho time of her death. She leaves to mourn bor departure the husband, threo children, lfrauo, Otterbein and Baby, four bisters and a brother living In Virginia and Wash ington D. C. Funeral services were hold from tho i homo last Monday, Rev. Uressmau of Creto in ohargo as had been (requested by tho deceased. Intorment was made in the Cathertoa cemetery. Saturday, April 1st, room over the State Bank at Guide Rock at 8 p. m., Saturday, April 1st. All boys nnd girls around Red Cloud, Bladen, Blue Hill, lnavaie and Cowlcs are requested to meet at the Farm Bureau office to perfect the organization. If there arc enough members from tho north part of tlic wunty und they desire to have an organization in the north part of tho county, they will be organized into a separate club and a meeting place selected that will bo convenient for all. At Guide Rock tho boys and girls around Guide Rock and Eckley are requested to meet and organize. PIG CLUB PRIZES $1,200.00 will be awarded to mom bers of tho Pig and Calf Clubs of Webster county this year in the form of cash prizes, trophies and free trips.
