The deceased was born In KlngswoodGlostcrshlro, England, Aug ust 19, 1841. November G, 18C0, he was united in marriago with Sarah Jane Harris. In July 18G0 he came to Amer ica, his wife and three children joining him hero in 1870. They located In Voungstown, Ohio, moved 40 Illinois, and came to Illverton, Nebraska in 1870, and houicsteadod in Smith Conn ty, Kansas, and a few years ago moved to this city. Ho is survived by his aged wife, three sons and three daughters, ono daughter having passed to eternity in 1880. Funeral services were conduoted from the Methodist church, this after noon, Rev. II.
