Ked Cloud will take pert in the parade but not compote for the prize, e MINIMUM UEQUIIIKMENTS OF STANDARDIZATION 1 The school term must be at leat nine months in length. 2 The teacher must be a holder of a first grade county certificate or its equivalent, .') The school grounds must be adequate, well drained, and kept clean. 4 The school buildings and out buildings must be adequate, comply with the' law, and kept in good re pair, clean and sanitary. o The school must have a good well on the grounds or the use. of one nearby and provide sanitary methods for the use of water. fl The sAool must provide single desks of suitable size adjusted to the needs of the children, and the rrom must contain at least fifteen square foet of floor space to each child. 7 The School must be lighted frc.n the left or the left and the rear with the window aiea equivalent to one-fifth of the floor space. s The heating must be of some approved t.pe and the room mu.stcon BCIi! This list of requirements has just be n sent to the county superinten dent. Any school that can meet re quirements will please repot t to her so that she can send the list to the Slate Superintendent as soon as pos sible. The Bureau of Health, 408 State House, Lincoln, are sending out some litcratute on "Water for Farm Homes." This might help in avoid ing typhoid and scarlet fevers. These papers are free and valuable. All you need to .do to got them is to send a card to the address. In the same letter it Sidvised that the drinking water supplv of each school should be analyzed and certi fied by the Ibneau of Health.
