Audience Monday Evening
Tho ono entertainment Mint will for

It being one of a class never before

Krutn rendered at the opening of the
Hesse Auditorium on Monday evening.
The star entertainer was Miss Frieda
Hempcl tho noted soprano of the Me

Torlc City. She was assisted by Mr.
Coenrad Dos, at tho piano, and Mr.
August Kodeman, ilutist.
Upon entering, tho beauty of tho In

manded attention, but when the great
nrtlst appeared on the stage, all else
was forgotten and attention of the
audience was centered upon tho dinger.
For tho avorage writer to attempt to
describe the excellence of the program
would bo doing it an Injustice, the
majority of tho program being such a
class that many of us could not tully
comprehend the beauty of it. How
ever we were all permitted to fully en
joy the feast of musical perfection
when the groat Mnger sang the favor
itesof a century "Dixie", "The Last
Hose of Summer" and ,lIIome Sweet
Homo".
C. P. Cather, on behalf of the Ladies

Under New Management
Our city's popular motion picture
theater will oon bo under manure
m ut as Mr. Ceo. .1. Warren informs
us that negotiations are about eotnplet
ed for the sale of the same to .Mr. K. L.
Stuntebeck of IJes Moines, Iowa. Mr.
Stuntebeck was in the city Mondaj
and was so pleasod with the Theater
and the community that he decided to
locate here. He expects to move hero
and take possession within the next
ten days.
During tho time that Mr. Warron
has conducted this popular play house
ho has given his patrons a class of en
teitainment that Is unsurpassed in
even the laigo cities. He states that
ho is well satisfied with the liberal
patronage he has received, but that
the combined duties of operating the
theuter and looking after the Interests
of the local Lincoln Telephone Co 's
plant and olllce, of which he is the
manager, proved to be too much of a
strain on him during his advancing
years and that his health demands
that he relieve himself of a portion of
tho responsibilities.
Mr. Stuntebeck comes recommended
as a thoroughly experienced show mini
and it is a foregone conclusion that
tho theater going public here will con
tinno to receive tho best olass of on
t.n'tainmeiit nt tho Orpheum under his
management as was nccorded them by
Mr. Warron.

CREAM!
YES! We Buy Cream, and lots of it. We are and
always have been paying "Top Market" for it and
shall continue to do so. You may rest assured
that when you bring your cream lo THE UNION
you get the prevailing market price for it.
Competition !
That's what we like. We enjoy good, fair and
square competition we welcome it. Competition
is the very life of trade. Without it the farmer
would be in doubt whether he was getting value
received. With it he has only to consult the
other fellow's quotations and then he knows that
he is receiving honest treatment.
Credentials I
We have 'em. Every one connected with our
cream department has. The law requires that any
one who buys and tests cream must have a cer
tificate, and the only way lo abtain one is to pass
the required examination. Investigation will re
veal this certificate on exhibition in our test room
Fair Dealing!
Ask any one of our patrons about our prices and
tests and see if they are satisfied. A continued
patronage of approximately 350 cream customers
is pretty fair evidence that we are treating our
patrons right and meeting competition on a fair
business basis,
