The Red Cloud High School "Foot
Ball team, accompanied by the band
and a large number of rooters went
over to Lebanon Friday afternoon
where our boys defeated the Lebanon
High School team 46 to 0.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sunbcrry were
culled to Republican City the last of
the week on account of the sudden
death of her brother, Will McQuiston,
a brakeinan on the Oberlin branch.
The deceased was a member of the
Brotherhood and was a Platoon Ser
geant in Co. G. 355 Infantry and ser
'cd his country while in the service
during the late war. The funeral ser
vices were held Monday afternoon,
the Brotherhood members of McCook
in charge. His many friends and army
pals will indeed be surprised to learn
of his untimely demise, but extend
their heartfelt sympathy to tho be
reaved ones.

Mr. Mcintosh Buried Today
Angus Mcintosh, one of the pioneer
residents of this county, passed away
at his home in this city Wednesday
morning at one o'clock, after an Ill
ness of scvcial weeks duration.
Mr. Mcintosh was boin in Scotland,
September 1833 and was 8(5 years old.
lie moved to Canada sixty years ago
where ho was united in marriage to
Miss Mary Wells, after which they
moved to Wisconsin and then later
to Iowa. About forty years ago they
moved to Webster county and settled
on a farm on Indian Creek. About
twelve years ago they mocd to this
city whcic they have since resided.
He was a very industrious and hard
working citizen.
Nino children were born to his
family, two having passed away sev
eral years ago. Three sons, James,
Peter and Frank, and four daughters,
Mrs. Lizzie Rounds, Mrs. Belle Scott,
and Mrs. Griminger of Grand Island,
and Myrtle Mcintosh of Cheyenne
Wells, Colorado, and the aged wife
are !cft to mourn his demise.
The funeral services were held at
the home this afternoon, Rev. J. L.
Beebe preaching the sermon, after
which interment was made in the city
cemetery.

J. L. Beebe preached the sermon. Mr.
Strobl was of the Catholic faith, a
good citizen nndva mar. honored by
