' LIST YOUR LAND FREE OF CHARGE I have a customer for a quarter section of land, also one for a half section. If you want to sell come in and list your land. This will cost you nothing unless a sale is made. CHEAP CORN AND WHEAT LAND Come 'n and have a talk with me about Colorado land, as 1 have just formed a connection with the Wayne Investment Company of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, who own the land they sell. They own several thousand acres of land near Cheyenne Wells, also a bank at Cheyenne Wells, and one nt Arapahoe, Cheyenne county, Colorado. This will assure you of buying land at a reasonable price, and not allowing some agent to tack on five or ten dollars more per acre than the land can be bought for. They have just harvested 25 to 30 bushels of wheat. This is the fourth year of good crops. Prices range from twenty to forty dollars per acre, according to location. Titles approved and abstracts up to date on all land owned by this company. OWN YOUR OWN HOME Have just listed a good house, six rooms with bath, all modern except heat, full basement and chimney to bottom of cellar arranged for furnace. Price, 1,900.00 Terms, 500.00 cash, and balance in monthly payments. ATTEND THE FAIRS The hOiii-on of Fair?, both county and state, is again upon us. It is a season plr.nncd primarily for the benefit of farmers and stock men; a season arranged to give all those vitally interested in agriculture, an opportunity to exchange idead and . to get new and better thoughts; a season designed to give the rural i people a chance to see what is best ' in making farming more prosperous ' and permanent. Organization is the base of all in dustry, but in no branch of the indus trial world has it made itself more keenly felt than in farming. And County and State Fairs have con tributed a big share in impressing tlio fact that there . are constantly increasing opportunities in farm life. Many inspirations for bettor crops, better live stock, better farm products, and better education have been obtained at these regular an nual events and each year new ones are offered. For visitors, the Fair offers both :V( r'.ainmmit and o('uk:'.'.ion. There are still too many cheap and vulgar amusements to take up the time of ih" young folks, but they are on the (!i .i aso and judging from the grow ing sentiment against them, the time will not be very far distant when nothing but clean, wholesome amusement will be tolerated at our Public Fairs. For exhibitors, the Fair forms in their minds, new ideas of their pro ducts; it acts as a guide to lead them more nearly in the right path in their future activities, for it is next to impossible for any man to achieve success, unless he is willing to adopt others' ideas such as are gathered at public exhibitions of this kind. The farmer owes much to the Fairs. Without them he loses sight of what is best in the work he has chosen to follow. In plainer words, he "gets behind the times," and this no' farmer who is really anxious to get ahead can afford to do. ATTEND THE FAIRS It will pay from a money-making standpoint. IIKXKY R. FAUSCH. County Agricultural Agent. Will Munson returned to Hastings Monday and will leave Tuesday for Camp May, Philadelphia.
