Last week the citizens of McCook held a meeting for the purpose' of securing funds to erect a new modern hotel in that city. Before the meet ing closed $73,000 was raised and according to last leports it has gone over the S 100,000 mark. Jas. Peterson reports a good bind er business this year, having sold about fifty machines, eighteen of which went out of tho Guide Rock store.
