RED 0LOT7D, NEBRASKA, CHIEF
Get this fact:
96,000,000 must support 4,000,000
Eliminating ciphers to simplify:
96 must support 4
Dividing by 4 to reduce to lowest terms:
24 must support 1
But it is estimated that fully three-fourths
of those remaining are dependents. So the
other one-fourth of 24, or six, must support
the ONE. Do you follow?
6 must support 1
If you were the ONE to be supported
by the six, wouldn't you insist that the six
did their duty?
But you are one of the SIX that must support ONE. The odds are
in your favor. If you shirk from your share don't forget that the ONE
will find it out when the war is over.
The more loyal you are to the boys NOW, the better they will feel toward you then.
THE BOYS WILL KNOW.
Make it a personal matter. Put yourself in the place of the ONE man at the front
whom you should be helping fight his way through to victoi y.
