After a serious illness of a few days Mr. II. H. Holdrcdge passed away on Thursday, Nov. 1, about 0:45 p. m. He had been quite sick several times during the past two years antl the past month was thought to be improv ing, but it proved only temporary. For over eight years he and his wife, assistetl at times by their daugh ter, Mrs. L. W. Thompson, hud run the switchboard anti his voice will be greatly missed by tho surrounding country. 1 lie bereaved wire and fam ilies wish to thank the many friends for their kindness, also tho beautiful floral offerings. The funeral services were held in the Christian church conducted by the M. E. pastor, Hew Murless, Monday, Nov. 5, 1917, at 2 p. in.
