Aiituur B. McAnruui: It Is with a heavy heart that I take up the pen laid down by my former employer and assume the duties of conducting tho ntl'alrs of this olllce, not that I fear the task but because of the fact that thero has departed from our midst a kind friend, a good elti.en and truo pnrtlot, who with his three companions, have oust aside business pleasure, relatives and friends to pre pare themselves to defend tho liny of of tho nation. Whllo In charge of tho otllco I will ondoavor to carry on tho business In uu honest, upright manner as hereto fore practiced by tho proprietor and remain true to tho trust placed in me. by him.
