no one depending upon them, to meet

majority of the people had been labor
ing in regard to the class of men thnt
made up our navy, that they weto not

nation as was thought by the people,
but young men coming from the best
families; that booze was not classed on
the navy bill o' fare, and that to be
come intoxicated meant dismissal from
the service.
