We Are Still Selling Our

consideration we decided to sell our goods on a smaller margin
of profit as will be seen by the prices quoted on our merchandise.
Among the many articles included in these price reductions was FlOUR.
First of all we took the matter up with our fellow business men, giving
them fair warning regarding our plans for the future. Recently the
Flour Mills were forced to refuse to sell us their product, unless our
price to the consumer would conform with that of other merchants, as
the Mills hal been informed by the merchants, that they would not
handle their product unless a standard price was made on this FLOUR.
We will not attempt to criticise the business ability of those managing
the affairs of the Mills, or condemn them for the stand they have been
compelled to take in this matter, however, we do not propose to be
governed by any set of rules laid down to us by our fellow business men
or competitors, and if we cannot retail the product of the local Mills, we
will handle a foreign brand of FLOUR. Our customers may feel con
fident that, in the future, they will receive only the IJKST GRADES
OF MERCHANDISE, and at prices that are fair, both to the consumer
and the merchant.
