Grico Drug Co.'a store presents a very brilliant nppearanoe now when lighted' up, the change in tho electric fixtures, so we are told, carries with it a very interesting little story. On turning on tho switch, Sat urday evening, It was found that one of the six large lights, which are anchored on the celling, had burned out. Electrician E. S. Garber was told of the trouble on Sunday morn ing, aud after considerable argument and being repeatedly told of the neces sity cf a new light being installed at once, consented to lay asido his re ligious vows, and do tho .job, provid ing his assistant, Wiro Chief J. A. liradford, who, by the way, is another very devout gentleman, could be pre vailed upon to assist. Mr. Dradford was interviewed and reluctantly con scnted to help. The boys began work. The old light they removed was 100- candle power, as were the other five celling lights which remained. They installed a 2uUcaudle power Madia light and when tho current was again turned on, tho now light put forth so much brilliancy, as to make the other five appear as candles. It was n plain caso of foresight on tho part of Electrician Garber there was nothing left for tho management of the drug store to do, but to have all new lights installed, and of course, Mr. Carbor landed the job. At any rate, tho drug store now presents a very brilliant' appearand, und Electrician Garber has conclusively proven that regard less of religious vows, or church uflllla tions, he is some mathematician.
