VYerk In fixing the river road has
ntarttfd and we trust thnt this will be
pushed with such vigor that It will be
properly and permanently built. The
damage done to this road was perhaps
ftreaterthan on any other road In tho
county but that Is all the more reason
why It should be tnado passable.
Autos and vehicles of all kinds have
had extreme difficulty in getting over
this road and it has been a source of
great discomfort and hardship.
Tho Chief believes that the memorial
service Inaguratcd by the United
church should bo made a permanent
affair in our little city. To remember
the virtues of our fellow citizens will
add to our own stock of good and cheer
us onward In our life on "this mun
dane sphere." To know that each one
of us would have a similar service
would stimulate us , individually to
better actions, higher endeavors and
the resultant good would be shared by
the entire community.
Via Wireless, hhown at tho Tepee
yesterday, both afternoon and evening,
and to bo shown again tonight, was
pronounced by nil as being simply
great. The photography was Hue, the
tory contained all of the essential
elements necessary to secure and hold
interest, and some of the scenes, such
ss the discharging of the largo Soui
mors gun, the wrecking of the Duraut
yateb, cte, is beyond description. This
was the first of tho new special feature
scries. No doubt tho otliots will be
good, but we are conlldent they can be
no better.
