dead at his home northeast of that
place Sunday morning. Undertaker
Morten, of Ulue Hill, who was called,
notified Coroner Amuck, who upon
going to Rosemont and investigating
the facts, was convinced that an in
quest was not necessary, and that Mr.

Naval Academy at Annapolis, Mary

ho successfully passes the required
physical and mental examination. He
will take a preliminary physicial ex
amination at Omaha during tho pres
ent, month, and the mental examin
ation in April 1910.

It has been said that more foot bail
spirit has already been made evident
than in any provlous year, and also
that the team will be tho best. This
is easy to believe after seeing tin1
quad go in for practice with tho vim
and pep that they have had tho past
two weeks. Tho Hist, game of the sea
son Is to bo played at Hebron Friday
with tho Hebron High school ..cam.
A High School Orchestra has been
organized consisting of eleven pieces,
namely: piano, four violins, bass, cello,
trombone, baritone, clarinet and traps
and drums. Rehearsals arc to bo held
on Wednesday nights Anyone attend
ing high school who plnys any Instru
ment suitable for orchestra, are Invited
to join and help out. A full credit
will be given for regular work and at
tendance. A chorus has also been or
ganized under the directorship of Miss
Simmons, for the purpose of improv
ing the music in the high school. This
chorus meets on Tuesday and Thins
day of last week. A full credit will be
given for satisfactory work. At pres
ent they are working on foot ball
songs.
John Beers Takes A Wife
Last Saturday evening at five o'clock
at Heaver City at tho home of Mr. and
Mrs Cormack occurred tho marriage
of their daughter, Miss Marie, to Mr.
John Dccrs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al
Beers of this city. The bride is ono of
Reaver City's esteemuble young ladl"s
while the groom is one of our popular
young men who Is now holding down a
position on the carpenter gang of the
U. R V Q. Tho young couple arrived
in the city Sunday moiniug and will
make tills place their home. The Chief
extends congratulations.
To Change The Program
The Man on the Box, which was
shown at the Tepeo, yesterday, both
atternoon and evening, attracted largo
crowds, all of whom were well pleased
with the pictures. Tho offering lor to
night is Tho Bondwoman, which it is
said, Is equally as good a plotute.
Malinger Warren announces a change
in tlio Tepee program, beginning with
tho first of tho month. For some time
past ho has been making special fea
ture nights each week of Monday and
Tuesday, and on Wednesday, both
afternoon and evening, lie has been
putting on the highest of high class
pictures. Now, in his endeavor to
give the Tepee patrons only the best,
he intends, beginning with the (Irst of
tho month, to exhibit each night the
class of pictures heretofore shown on
Wednesday, and with this in view has
contracted for such high grade pic
tures as Neal of the Navy, etc.
The Tepee, under tho management
of Geo. Warren, lias ever been in a
class by itself; Tho picture shown
thero have all been carefully selected,
and he has been ever alert in his en
deavor to secure only the best. Wo are
of tho oplu'on it will be a hard mutter
to improve the Tepee, but If such can
bo done, Mr. Worreu is tho man for
the job.

The board has purchased some new

Martin Readers.
The Palmer method of writing has
been established and a manual has
been placed In the hands of each pupil.

to more and better work in latter
years.

Method writing books have been in
stalled, which will improve tho pen
manship and business ability of the
pupils.
The last year's graduates, Hazel Rig-
gins and Oscar JJromtner, will encour
age the school by returning ugitiu this

class to which four moru have been
added.
We, as an entire school, will bo glud
to have the patrons come in at any
time and see tho work which Is being
done. We huvo been pleased to accept
live visitors in tho past two weeks;
which were, Misses Gladys Callaghan,

Ruckles and Hilda Johnston.
The School has had tho sorrow ol
the death of ouu pupil little Anna
