On Monday, Decoration Day was
llttiulg obsetved by all. In compli
ance with the Mayor's proclamation,
the business houses wciu all closed
ftoni one until four o'clock. The day
was an ideal one, the city was appro
pi lately deeoiatod with llagt. and
bunting, and at 1 o'clock, with the
Red Cloud Concert Hand playing on
the corner of Fourth Avenue and
Webster btreet, tho nicmbets of the
(!. A. It. and V. It. C. were comfort
ably seated in automobiles, and con
veyed to the cemetety, whote the
graves of the departed tnetnbets of
these organizations w-ero decorated.
Tho automobiles weto furnished by
our citizens, who are entitled to much
praise for their libeiality. Tho boy
scouts, headed by John lloohr, march
ed to the cemetery.
