Mr. Polnicky was horn December 4, 18.11 iu llolieniiii and came to Roil Cloud when but a yoiui man of nine teen years of aire and took up a home hteiid in liatlu township which he farui' od for many years and still owned the same at the time of his demise. He was instrumental in gutting many of his nationality to come to this country tiiid settle on farms in thin county, lie win always ready to help those who needed assistance, and was 00 years, 1 mouths and 13 days old at the time of his death. He was married to Mary Strobl and to this union wero born two chil dren Emma and Paul. Kiimm died several years ao, and Paul, together with his wife, are left to mourn his demise. The funeral services were held at tho Catholic church Wednesday morning, Father McDonald of Hastings conduct ed the services. The Chief along with his many friends extends sympathy to the bereaved wife and sou. Grandma Gilham Passes Peacefully Away On Tuesday morning, Mrs. Anna Gllhatu, aired U2 years, 7 months and 11) days, passed peacefully away at the home of her sou, Henry (Milium, east of this city. Mrs. Gilliam was lu good health up until the tune of her demise, and her death, while not entirely un expected, owing to her advanced Hge, came as a shock to this community. She was the oldest, lady in the county, and during her long and useful life, had made for herself friends of all with whom she came in contact. Her maiden name was Anna Skew Is, and she was born in Camborne, Hug laud, September, 1822, and eiune with her parents to Chillis burg, Wisconsin, in 1841). In February 18.il she wiiHf united in marriage to William Cillum, and to this union were boiti three sous JiunoyrIIeiiry and Charley, all of whom reside in this city. In IS?" Mr. and Mrs. Gilliam moved to Ited Cloud, and in 1880 Mr. Gilham passed nwiiy, since which time she has made her home with her sous, The funeral services wero holil at the homb of Henry Gilham, at '2 o'clock this afternoon.
