Local Clubs,
lt is desiied to emphaslu the local
cluh organizations as much ns possible.
A local club vvlli;coii8lht ot at least six
boys each of whom will agree to raise
and exhibit a pig. Such a club may
t e organized In a school district, a
neighborhood, a township, or any other
put of a county. Each local club must
bo in charge of an adult person such
as a bcliool teacher, minister, or other
pel son interested. in boys. Each club
will lie expected to'meet at least once
a mouth. As soon as thu club U organ
l.ed a list of members and names of
ollliiers must bo sent to the Statu Agent
in charge of l'lg Clubs.
A contest will tie arranged for ouch
local club at which each hoy must ex
hibit his pig. The pigs will be judged
by a competent person and thu awards
made according to rule 8

club. This will include all local clubs
in a county as well as any boys in the
county who are not members of local
clubs, bub who have enrolled with the
State Agent.
The county club and contest, will be
in charge of the county farm demon
strator, the county superintendent of
schools .or other competent person ap
pointed by tho State Agent.

which the winiieis in the local clubs
and any otlier clot) luembels not ill
the local clubs, hut in the county, tnav

the prollt on the pig If the pig is
properly fed and luiiidl 'd every boy
ought to clear a neat lite sum. An
other prize is the knowledge and ex
perience to be gained by carefully
raising a pig and keeping accurate re
cords ou it. Each boy will be conduct
ing a little experiment station of his
own. Bulletins and other information
relatiug to hog raising will be sent to
each club member monthly.
