New Council
Now in Power
On Tuesday morning the old council
closed its career, and Mayor Saundprs
and Aldermen P W. (Jowden und J. U.
CranH retired, and Mayor Damcrell and
Mesara Frank Perry und J. O. Caldwell
took their vacant chalip. The old coun
cil is entitled to much prniBe for the
efficient work accomplished during the
year. They have certainly put the city
on herfeet financially nnd this paper
feels proud of their work. Wc also
feel that the new council will go for
ward in the same manner, and wo look
forward with much hope for the fu
ture interests of the city. Here's to
the new mayor and city council.
