Every winter there Is moro or less
accumulation of refuse matter in the
city nnd during the winter months the
citizens do not feel obliged to dispose
of this refuse but now that spring is
bore we believe that tho city should
bo olennod up without further delay.
We can start tho spring right and then
it will bo an easy matter to keep clean
tho rest of thu year. It has been
demonstrated that when a, certniu dny
has been appointed for tho disposal of
refuse tliuruMtlt 1ms been much bettor
than when a genei al request Is ninile.
Under such conditions it would seem
that it the mayor would appoint a
clean up day it would result in much
e
good.

IJoozo brought about tho downfall of
Editor Hale, Into of tho Red Cloud
Chlof, says the Riverton Review. He
had one of tho best paying plants in
the Valley, but when he went back to
his old booze habit he dhld't last long.
Too, he had a sure thing of tho Red
Cloud postoflice, but boozo took his
chance away from him. He went to
Indianola and took his boozo habit
with him and now conies word that he
is in the hands of the law for passing
worthless checks. So long as thine
was no saloon in Red Cloud to tempt
him, he miido good, but when it came,
Halo went bad. That's just what
would huppon to some fellows hero in
Riverton if a saloon was planted here.
We don't want it to happen. Tho fel
