was all in vain as the game went to

Oxford High School Team
Forfeits Game to Red Cloud
Last Friday tho Oxford High school
foot ball team came down and played
our High school team on the Koo'ntz
field.
In the first quarter our boys made a
touch down. In the last part of the
second quarter our team fumbled the
ball and the Oxford team got possess
ion of the ball and made a touoh down
and kicked goal.
In tne ttiircl quarter our team fum
bled the ball on Oxford's 4 yard line
and the latter team got possession' of
the ball and made a touch down but It
did not count on account of one the
Oxford players making a foul taokle on
one of our players. The Referee
brought the ball back ami peualized
the Oxford team and gave tho ball to
our team. Prof. Anderson called his
team off the Held and refused to play
tho game out and the Referee forfeited
tho game to Uud Cloud, score 1 to 0.
The Oxford team did not put up the
class of foot hall that our boys play.
Our team put up a good game and
time after time went thru their oppon
ent's lino lor big gains.
