The Lincolu Dally Star Endurance
Run under the auspices of the Lincoln
Auto Club, competing for cups offered
by Star, will bo participated in by
about thirty automobiles and is to
leave Lincoln on thy morning of July
20th, returning on the .afternoon of
July 31, covering about -150 miles of
Nebraska roads, lied Cloud is to be
their stop the first night, and from this
point they will leave on the morning
of the 30th, for the northwest, Kearney
being the night control for the second
day, Remember the date, next Tues
day, July 29tli., and watch for them.

daughter went to Hastings yesterday
morning. Mr. Schellak returned home
the same evening, but Mrs. Schellak
will remain a few days visiting with
relatives.
Chas. White, who resides ou the
farm of Perry lieardslee, threshed a
field of wheat which made an avei
age of thirty seven bushels per acre.
Other wheat threshed by J. L. Barlow
has averaged from eighteen to twenty
five bushels.
W. H. Fuller of Hastings is in the
city this .week acting in the capacity
of consulting engineer to County
Surveyor Geo. II. Overiug. The gentle
men are engaged in making surveys,
plans, etc., for the proposed new sewer
system.

Mr. Charles Klzer of Dallas, 'Texas,
sueprised his father aud mother, Mr.
and Mrs. S. 11. Kizer by making them
a visit Wednesday. Ho left this city
twenty six years ago and was so
changed that his mother did not know
him. He has been doing well in his
new home and will remain here for a
few weeks. ,
