Miss Eleuor Gilliam who was in jured some three weeks ago in an un fortunate automobile accident was taken to Chicago last Thursday to have her limbs set. The operation was performed and Miss Elenor's mnuy ft lends will be pleased to know that she is gettlug along exceptionally well. An alarm. whs turned in which was quickly re sponded to by a number of the fire boys with the fire fighting appartus, but before their arrival the fire was extinguished, after doing only a small amount of damage. The State Baseball League closed its meeting at Hastings, Wednesday, after making quite a few changes lu the bylaws. Chief among these is to abolish the practice of dividing the gate receipts between home and visit ing clubs. Hereafter visiting clubs will be paid the $30 guaranty for each game and all receipts in excess of this amount to be kept by the home club. This rule is to apply to all games ex cept the Fourth of July.
