The Washing ton building will now be used exclus ively for high school work. -The in crease in the high school attendance is accounted for, because there are 78 non-resident students and because e lectlve courses are offered which keep the boys and girls in school. Never before have the higher grades been so filled as this year and this condition is but the result of an adiquote course provided for some time since which gives the pupils a choice of subjects for study and consequently holds their interest in school work. Under the old system of one course, boys and girls dropped out and quit.
