Beginning at 1 o'clock p. m., the following described property:
24 Mules coming three years old.
One MuJe coming two years old.
One Mule coming one year old.
The above are large boned, blocky and well bred mules. All have been
haltered, are gentle and will be easily broken to work.
One span of brood mares, 5 years old, weight about
1400 pounds each, and in good condition.
TERNS OF SALE: A credit of eight months will be given purchaser on note with approved
security, with interest at 10 per cent per annum.

The county board met in' regular fe.s
moii. Commis-jionui.s Stoiey, Schmidt,
Hummel anil Olumtedo present (.
Ohm-tede was elected chairman of the
board for the ensuing year.
The county cleik was authorized to
draw a warrant on the poor farm fund
for $s. i fnvor of Mr-. Anderson, to pay
her expensed from lteitCIoml to Geneva.
Further heaving of the petition for a
road ou the section line between sec
tions 15 and 22, 1 U was adjourneil till
Nome future date.
The board adopted certain bridge
plans and placed eamo on file in the
county clerk's office.
Jauuary 10, 1012.
Commissioners Storey, Hummel and
Ohmstede were appointed a committee
to check up the accounts of the county
treasurer, and Commissioners Chaplin
and Schmidt were appointed to audit
the accounts of the judge, superinten
dent, sherlfT, district clerk and county
clerk.

granted as asked for on section line be
tween r-ections 15 and 22, Ml. Dam
ages were allowed as follows on ac
count of the opening of the road:
Clarissa Maynard, $75; Chas. Zaltnan
$75; Ernest Roberta, $75; W. P. Kuehn,
$7.',.
Uoth auditing committees reported
that the books and accounts of the coun
ty officers corresponded with the re
ports filed by said officers.
Commissioners Hummel, Chaplin and
Ohmstede were appointed to purchase
necessary clolhlng for Chas. V. Heger
and Frank Ackerson, and ship said
clothing to the hospital at Ingleslde for
them.
The county clerk wis directed to ad
vtrtite for bida for bridges as per plana
( and specifications on file in the county
clerk's office. Also for steel reen forc
ing rode, sizes i to 2 inches per pound,
carloud lots. Also for cement bridge
work per cubic foot, county to furnish
mutcrial, bidder to haul all material at
his own cost, mntcriul to be furnished
by county at nearest railwuy depot,
excavating up to $8 00 to he done by
builder without cost to county. Over
that amount to be paid by county not
, to exceed $2 per day. Sand to be haul
i ed by bidder up to two miles without
I coBt to county. All over two miles,
extra mileage to be paid by county as
agreed on between bidder and bridge
committee. Also for 3 in. fir, 3 in. oak,
3x12 material, 1G to 32 feet lengths.
Also cedar piling 12 feet and over in
longth., All bidders to fnrnish checks
with bill, certified by Red Cloud bank.
The depository bond of the first Na
tional bank of Blue Hill wbb approved.
The official bonds of Frank Boom,
Overseer district No, 12, and of Mike
Durdin, constable Potsdam precinct
were approved.
Annual settlements of the following
road overseers were approved: Albert
Skjelver, Dist. 15; Bert Kile, Dist. 1G;
J. A. Saladen, Dist. G; S. S. Lundstcdt,
Dist. 2.
County Assessor Scott was allowed
necessary office help for 1912at a salary
$2 50 qer day for time employed.
The county judge was allowed $250
per annum during his term if needed
for clerk hire.
The purchasing of a steel blank file
for the county judge was referred to the
purchasing committee.
The appointment of Fred A. Hedge
as deputy sheriff was approved, and
his salary fixed at $300 per year.
It was ordered that the several coun
ty officers file a quarterly report as
required by law.
The report of the several committees
was accepted and approved.
The appointment of C. D. Robinson
as deputy treasurer waa accepted and
approved and bis salary fixed at f 1000
per annum.
The following bids for printing and
supplies were accepted:
H. E. Grice Drug Co., office stationery.
Argus and Advertiser, tax list.
Leader and Chief, treasurer's Btute-
ment.
Advertiser, letter heads and stationery,
class I).
All other bida were rejected.
A committee consisting of Commis
sioners Storey and Hummel, and Clerk
Ross were appointed to purchase all
supplies for county offices.
The following estimate of expenses
for 1912 was adopted:

The appointment of J. J. Qurber ns
deputy county clerk was accepted, and
his salary fixed at $1000 por year. Extra
clerk biro was also granted for the time
needed.
The board decided to purchase a
Smith Premier typewriter for the dis
trict clerk's office at a purchase price of
$59.50 and the old machine.
