Representatives of the Burlington
Railroad Company were in tile city

want that, water. They expressed
themselves as being dlssatislled with
present conditions and that if the city
would not furnish them with the
spring water they would undertake
the work themselves. The continual

The Whist Club was entertained
last Thursday night at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cowden This
was the closing program of the season
and twenty members wero present. At
seven thirty an elaborate banquet was
served, which, by the way, was furnish
ed by Mrs Cowden and W. A. Sher
wood. After the banquet the, ovouing
was spout in various entertainments
and It proved to be a most onjoyablo
