sail news of bis mother's death Wednes
rlnv. ubiidi occurred in Chicago. The
romaiiis will bo brought back to Stella,
Xub., for burial. Mr. McDowell de
parted for that place this morning to
attend tho funeial He was accom
panied by his daughter. Miss Florence,
who expects to remain a while to visit

Tho funeral rites were conducted by

of sympathetic friends from gathering
to express their condolences in tri
