At last the long looked for statement setting forth the
financial condition has arrived. The new administration
cover themselves with glory by giving'tJe people what they
have wanted for years. The finance committee have been
working diligently on this since they were appointed and
should receive the hearty commedation of all our citizens
for their promptness. The statement shows that we might
be in better condition but the knowledge that it is no worse
is better than dread uncertainty
Cut this statement out and paste it on your desk for
ready reference.
The new administration, it will be remembered promised
this within 30 days and they have made good. A harder
task now lies before them. But we have confidence in them
that they will devise ways and means to straighten matters
out and will make a different showing one year from now.
