The supreme court of tho United States postponed the cases of tho Chicago, Burlington and Qulncy railroad and other rail road companies of Nebraska against tho various county treasurers of that state, Involving tho tax law of the state, until a full bench can be so cured. Burke, whoso lifeless body was found noar the pump ing station at Florence, lie was ly ing, face down, midway of an oinbank nient of cinders near the river. His appearance was that of a man who had plunged headforemost down tho bank. His face was black and blooa was exuding from his mouth and nos- trite. Burko was about twenty years of ago. His father, a well known live htock commission man at South Oma ha, died only a couple ot weeks ago.
