Deaths and Funerals.

Sad Death of Mrs. F. E. Goblc.
Mrs. Cassio Cloble, wifo of R E.
(Soldo, one of tho oldest mid most
highly esteemed ladies of this city,
died very .suddenly about 11:110 Satur
day night, from heart failure. Mrs.
Goblo had boon suffering with heart
disease for u number of years, but her
condition was not thought to be dan
gerous. Saturday morning sho com
plained of feeling ill, but sho was able
to be up mid around in the afternoon.
When she retired at about 10 o'clock
sho rem it-ked that sho felt much bet
ter i ban sho did in tho morning. When
tho storm camo up about U:'.0 Mr
CJoblo aroso to close tho windows and
spoko to Mrs. Goblo, who answered
him. A moment later ho folt tho bed
iromblo and ho spoko to hor again,
but sho did not reply. Lighting u
lamp, ho found that his life partner
had passed to the groat beyond.
Fuiioi al services wore held at tho
family residence Tuesday morning,
conducted by tho Rev W. Bonnott
Maze, pastor of tho M. E church, and
the remains wore laid to rest in tho
Rod Cloud cemetery.
Cass o Blossor was born in York,
Pa., .Inly 17, 18l.", and lacked only u
few days of being (50 years of ago when
sho died. When a girl she removed
with hor parents to Louisa county, In .
where, on March 11, 1800, sho was
married to F. E. Goblo. Thoy camo to
Red Cloud from Columbus Junction,
Iowa, in 1870, and have since mado
their homo in this city, spending a
part of their tiino in Oklahoma, where
Mr. Goblo has business intorests.
Besides hor husband, Mrs. Goblo is
survived by three children and two
sisters. Tho children aro Mrs V B.
Fulton of Red Cloud, Harry Goblo of
North Platto and Frank Goblo of St
Louis, tho sistors being Mrs. James
Goblo of Holdrego and Mrs. C. M.
Denham of Lincoln.
Mrs. Goblo was well and favorably
known to almost every man, woman
and child in Rod Cloud, and hor sud
den death, which was unuouucml early
Sunday morning, was a groat shock to
hor hosts of friends.
John Gilbert Injured.
As John Gilbert was driving ono of
his fast horses west of town this morn
ing the animal became frightened and
runaway. Uno wheel of his road cait
was torn off and Mr Gilbert was
thrown out, receiving somo sevoro
cuts nnil bruises about tho head. Tho
accident happened near Vic Fulton's
residence,
