Former Red Cloud Boy Hilled.
An exchange fioiu Dunlap, lown,
reached our desk this week, telhtig of
a vteckon the Northwestern on the
night of July lth, in which "Dick (htil
ford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Gull
ford, fouueiiy of this place, received
injuries from which ho died.
He with another companion had been
to Missouri Valloy to spend tho da

frieghtcar. Tho train at a point bo
tween theso towns struck a broken
rail, derailing a car. At this timo '
train from tho other direction struck
this car, piling up fourteen of it's cart
and six cars of tho other train. The
two boys were buried lu tho wreckage,
the companion being killed instantly
and "Dick" having his leg citisheil,
necessitating an amputation. "Iho
ocoud shock was more than ho could
hour nud death came to his relief.
In speaking of tho deceased the

Mrs. Goo W. Guilford, Sr., was born
in Dunlap, June 8, 1870, and leavos a
father, mother, tureo sisters, and two
brothers to mourn his departure. He
was over a kind and affectionato son
and brother. Ho was a member of tbo
Cnurch of Christ, into which ho was
baptized 12 years ago. Tho funeral
took placo from the M. E church this
(Friday) nfternoon at 3:80 o'clock, Rev.
