One of the saddest deaths which has oecuied in Ked Cloud in many months was that of Miss Krina Townsend, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dunne Town send, which occurred last Satuiday. Miss Townsend was sick but a few days. On Wednesday of lust week sho became ill while at .school, and had to botakm home, lingering until Satur day morning, when death camo to her relief. Miss Townsend had been a member of the Methodist Sunday school for about throe years, and was deeply in terested in tlio work of tho Sunday school and Kpworth league. Sho was a pupil in tlio seventh grade of the public schools, where sho was held in high esteem by her teachers and classmates- Erma Kuby Townsond was born near Heatrice, Neb., April .'10, 18SD, and was a few days less than 15 years of ago at the lime of her death, nnd though she ejcpuHaod icgiot at lenving her father and mother sho was willing to go if it was Iho will of Jesus, in whoso love and mercy she had an abiding faith. Funeral services wero held nt the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at a o'clock, conducted by Kuv. Hutchino. There weie many handsome llornl tributes, among them an anchor and a wreath from her schoolmates, who at tended the funeral in u body. Mr. Stonebreaker was horn in Mans Held, Oittaratiijis eouiity, New York. At the aire of ,14 be moved with his patents to Kenosha county, Wiscosin, and in 1871 removed to Sliellrock, la , where he lived until lie came to Ked Cloud in 1D00.
