On last Friday evening Mrs. Fred
Tunuro gavo a delightful littlo farowell
party for Miss Frances Harman. who
left Monday morning for her brother's
homo at Holdrege, where sho will bo
married on the 21st, to Mr. Ciarenco
Waldow, of Ulojmington. Thoro wore
just a few of Miss Harman's most inti
mate friends presont,and a very enjoy
ablo evening was apont with cards and
other amusements; later in tho evening
delicato refreshments wcro served.
Upon leaving those present could not
tind words to express tho ro'groc thoy
felt at losing from social circles one of
tho most charming and sweet-tempered
girls that has ever graced Rod Cloud's
society.

Will Dungan was quite badly injured
last Friday evoning, whilo in the dis
charge of his duties as hostler at the
B.&M. round houso. Mi. Dungan had
run a passenger engino to the coal
chutes to bo coaled nnd had gono above
to assist tho man to move a coal car,
whon tho timbers gave away nnd by
souio means, throwing him agaicst the
celling above and nlowiii him to drop
to the floor again. His face was badly
lacerated and one limb was severely
bruised. Tho putiont visited the chief
surgeon at McCook and then wont to
his homo in Hastings on Saturday.

orders for cheap groceries from tho
farmers and tilling them from a whole

known Red Cloud boy, Jusso Duull,
son of Mrs. N. S. Hants. Mr. Duoll is

pany, which travels from city to city
