The sad nows of the death of Amos Cowden at Superior, nt 10:45, this (Fii day) morning, was received in this city shortly before noon. The cause of his death was stomach trouble, from which ho has been a sufferer for three or four yenrs. He had been apparently in good health lately, and Thursday aft ernoon was taken with cramps. His condition gradually grew worse and this morning his pnrents were called. His father and mother and brother Frank loft here on tbo 10 o'clock train but ai rived just too late, Amos having died just us tho train pulled into Su perior. The remains will be brought to this city this evening. The time for tho funeral has not as yet been sot. Amos had a host of frionds In this city who will bo sorry to bear of his death.
