Republicans Meet and Nominate County
Officer! and Nominate Delegates to
the Various Other Conventions.
The- republican county convention

nominating n county attorney and a

egates to tho various other conventions."
Notwithstanding tho bad condition of
tho roads, every delegation was pres
ent nt tho Mine called with tho excep
tion of Stillwater precinct. Tho con
vention was called to order at 11 a m.
by Chairman Roby, and 1. 13. Hampton
chosen as temporary chairman.
A committee on credentials consist
ing of E J. Ovoring Jr., I. W. Crary,
F. A.Sweezy, U. G. Knight, and C. E.
Putnam was appointed, and also a com
mittee on permanent organization con
sisting of It. A. Simpson, Jos. Garbcr,
and W. U. Roby, after which tho con
vention adjourned to convene at 1-30
o'clock.
At 1:30 p.ni, tho convention recon
vened and the committee on creden
tials submitted report tliat th ro vcro
no contests, and recommended that
tho list as handed in bo declared dele
gates. Committee on credentials reports
recommending that temporary organ
ization bo made permanent, which rec
ommendation was adopted.
Motion prevailed that delegates pres
ent enst full vote of delegation
A motion was mado providing fur
tho appointment of n committee on
resolutions, but wns voted down.
Motion prevailed to proceed accord
ing to call with selection of candidates
and that ail ballots bo secret and also
ballot on choice for senator.
