John A. Soibort, an old and respect
ed citizen of Webster county, died nt
his homo in Walnut crook, township
last Tuesday of cancor. Mr.-Sibert
has been a sufferer for many mouths
and his death was not unexpected. Ho
was a httlo over 70 years of ago having
been born Soptombor 29th, 1820. Ho
loaves a wlfo and eight children to
mourn kis loss.
A serious accident befell a gontloman
by tho name of K. R. Wood yesterday.
Ho has been hero for severol days pur
chasing mules and while riding his
horse he was thrown sustaining a frao
turo of both bones of tho right leg be
low the kneo. Ono of his foot caught
in tho stirrup aid ho pulled the horses
head down and hold him until ho dis
engaged it. Dr. Beck with tho assist
ance of Dr. Dameroll reduced tbo frac
