Their "iiiaininas" should be more watchful or they may got "stage MiiH'k "A young and giddy girl has a natural desire to want to be an artless. They think it is real cuto to catch a show fellow. They should sit around a hotel nnd hear the naughty, naughty talk these show fellows In dulge in nbout thoni. Their cIicoks would wear a sunset glow for somo time. And now the zebra collar craze has struck us. Thoy nro said to bo the stylo. We suppose if someone said it was the stylo somo fellows would wear their collars high enough to havo their hnta sot on them instead of tho place where their brains are supposed to bo. Or perhaps it might bo cut low enough to show their manly bosom if fashion said so. Common sonso Is tho best fashion plate yet found. Striped and flashy clothes aro put on dummies to attract attention to n clothing storo. Striped clothes are also very popular around ponltontiarics. But what n man or boy around a civilized town wnnts to wear sir! pes for is a query. Perhaps ho thinks someone will tako him for a clothing dummy or a convict. Tho question, is often asked, "Why docs not Red Cloud organize a good, working Commercial Club which will look after tho Interests of tho city?" This is a good question well put, but tho only answer comes back "Vhyt There is little doubt but what a good Commercial Club composed of business men and others interested in the up building of our city could be of an un limited amount of goml in securing now enterprises which would tend to improvo and better our city and in fuso now lifo. However, such a club should bo composed of conservative, principled, honest and cttpublo men who look not for personal aggrandize inont, and who do not want individual credit for helping a project along. Thero is not tho least doubt had tho electric light proposition enmo up beforo a careful, hone.it and trust worthy commercial club tlio objection- ablo features of tlio project would havo been abrogated and uu understanding satisfactory to all arrived at. An open mooting always has been and always will bo a detriment to any project brought up for consideration before it 110 matter bow beneficial or how detri mental it may bo, so long as thero aro two elements. Personal spite and ng grwidl.oniout has leu to tho defeat of uioro thau 0110 project iu this city, when personal matters should sinkjio foro tho interests of tho city. A person who will let his personal spite get the better of him when his own and his city's interests nro at stake is a poor man to look after business enterprises. What lied Cloud needs and should have is a good Commercial Chit), tlio members of which would think more of tho betterment of Hie city than of privato Individuals, ami who would work together and act a a unit. Such a. club could not only secure now enter prises, but could soon givo lied Cloud a reputation abroad that would inter est capitalists who have money to in vest. NEW AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY. New Society Formed and OH Grounds Se cured. To Conduct Fairs and Make Them Successful.
