Mr. Samuol Pettit, a farmer about six miles southeast of Guide Rook, had been doing some trading in town last Wednesday, and about four o'clock in tbe afternoon started for borne, He was driving a team that was hardly con sidered safe, and wbb in a light buggy without a top.
