Tho community of Guido Hook was
greatly grieved to learn of the death
of Leo Parker, son of our ex-poit
master. The oxaot causo of his death
is unknown. He was engaged ai col
lector and solicitor of tho" Denver
(Col.) Times, and was a most cstima
bio young man who was a favorite of
all who knew him. His remains were
brought to Guide Book. Tho funeral
services were held at tho rcsidenoo of
his parents, and a largo concourse of
friends gathered to pay thoir last
tributo and ho was peacefully laid to
rest in Green Lawn cemetery.
Mr. C. Craig who has boon sick for
months past, died at his reiideneo
May 4. Services held at tho house,
and remains takon to Boatnoe, his
former home, for intcrmont.
Mr. Beeves' barn burned to tho
ground Tuesday morning with all its
contents. It contained two buggies,
hay, corn, harness, horse, and other
articles. It is quite a severo loss to
the old man. It was caused by the
grand child setting it afire.
