The electric light plant has been appraised at 10,000 and will be sold in six weeks in accordance with an order of the U. S. Court. Here is an opportunity of a life time. Bed Cloud has been paying $1600 per an num for lights. Wc are informed that a responsible firm proposes to buy the plant if Red Cloud will vote $20,000 in bonds at 7 per cent inter est, and after ten -cars the plant is to belong to the city The company also propose to furnish the city 20 arc lights free. In ten vcars the city would sayc $10000 and besides own the lights. After deduct ing the $16,000 from the $20,000 bonds and the interest $1S000 making $3S,000, the plant would cost Bed Cloud $22,000, and in ten years be come the property of the city. The bonds running 20 years. The plan will be presented to the city council for actiou in a few bavs. At least it will pay the city to investigate the matter and sec if it is not a good in vestment.
